For each search that you preform, you have a random chance to win swagbucks (usually you win once in the morning and once in the afternoon is what I have found). Another way to win swagbucks is to use referrals. For every swagbuck that people who signed up under you referral code win, you get the same number, up to 1000. This is great if you have a bunch of friends that you can get to sign up and use swagbucks.
There is one word of caution – Swagbucks.com has to get their money from somewhere. You will notice on your search results from swagbucks.com that there are a lot more sponsored results that you would normally see on google or other search engines. This may bother some people. I find that I usually just ignore the sponsored results and look for urls that are not sponsored.
