Roughly two weeks ago, the quiet Pete Sudlow residence in Madison Heights, VA, was struck by an attack from the Taco Liberation Army.  The TLA, who’s mission of liberating tacos across the Madison Heights region, quickly set to work consuming all tacos in sight.  Tortilla shells were piled high with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese and quickly stuffed in to the salivating mouths of the army.  Vegetarians we represented amongst the troops as one militant was seen creating a delicious taco creation out of beans and taco mix.  So zealous were the troops in their desire to free tacos everywhere that when the eight pounds of meat ran out, they grabbed up the empty shells and loaded them with ice cream and sundae toppings and continued their rampage with out a single missed mouthful.  After leaving no tacos, meat, bean, ice cream or otherwise, left in captivity, the TLA cleaned up the mess their activities caused, loaded up their transport units and disappeared just as quickly as they arrived.  All Mrs. Kathy Sudlow had to say on the matter was, “It was a pleasure to have them.  I’m just glad those poor tacos are free at last!  The Taco Liberation Army is welcome at my house any time.  God bless them in their wonderful taco-intarian work.”

The future plans of the TLA is best summed up in one soldier’s parting words, “I’m hungry, when’s the next NTLB rally?”  When exactly that will be remains uncertain be you can rest assured that where ever small tacos huddle in fear of never being consumed, the Taco Liberation Army will be there to set them free, for as their war cry states, the TLA will not stop “Until All Are Consumed!”

Every year, we have our Teen Christmas Banquet.  This is a great time to enjoy some great food, wonderful fellowship, and amazing Christmas Carols.  This year, our banquet will be on Saturday, December 4th from 6:00pm-8:30pm.  The cost will be $10.00.  I do ask everyone to dress nicely, like you would for a Sunday Morning church service.  We will also be having a “White Elephant” gift exchange.  If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped gift of $5.00 or less.

On Tuesday, December 7th, the Teens will be making their annual Christmas Caroling trip.  We will be visiting the front doors of various members of Temple Baptist Church from 6:00pm-8:30pm.  There is No Cost involved for this but make sure you bring your Christmas cheer, after all Christ is the Hope of the Season!

As many of you know, this past August, we had someone break into our Teen Building, here at church, and steal a TV and audio equipment.  To help replace what was stolen, we are going to have a BreakIn to raise some funds.

A BreakIn is one of the most popular activity that we have for the Temple Teens.  It is a great time to enjoy Christian fellowship while running around a dark building while searching for the hidden flashlight.  Make sure you invite your unsaved friends so we can reach out to the during the night.
