Stephen address covers the history of Israel as God’s chosen nation. How far back does he cover? What major sections can this address be divided into? Who are some of the key players that Stephen addresses? What are some of the key events that he covers? What happened as a result of this address? What was the name of the young man mentioned? Why is that important?
What were Stephen’s last words? How does this follow the example of Christ? How did Stephen die? What was the significance of Stephen’s death?
Chapter 8:
Relate the accounts of Philip in this chapter in your own words? Why did he go to these places? What does it mean to fully follow the Lord? Did Philip do this? Are you doing this? What happened to Philip at the end of the chapter?
Chapter 9:
Describe what happened to Saul on the road to Damascus. Where did Jesus direct him to go? Did he do that? Who did he meet there? What happened when Saul went to Jerusalem? Who was willing to help him?
Chapter 10:
Who was Cornelius? What position did he hold? Was he a Jew? Describe Peter’s dream. What did it mean? How did the dream and Peter’s encounter with Cornelius relate? What happened at the end of the chapter to confirm that the gospel was not just for the Jews? Why is this important to us today?
Chapter 11:
What happened as a result of Stephen’s death? Were the believers spread far? Why was Barnabas sent as far as Antioch? Who did he met up with in Tarsus? Where did he take this man? How long did they stay there? What happened at the end of that year? Do you think God was teaching Saul to be patient? Is this an easy lesson to learn? Why?
Who did the church send to Jerusalem? Why is this important?
