Today’s Chapters: Psalms 101-105
Pete’s Thoughts:
Psalm 101:3
What a fantastic verse to help remind us what not to set before our eyes. Many people have memorized this verse as a way to help keep sin out of their lives. When the temptation to look at something sinful hits, quoting this verse will help remind you not to look at that but focus on Christ.
Psalm 102
God shall endure forever. There will never be a time in the infinity that is eternity that God will not be. That applies to both eternity future and eternity past – there has never been a time where God wasn’t. Try wrapping your head around that. While this can be hard to grasp, it is also encouraging to know that our God will never leave us.
Psalm 103:3-5
Look at what God does for us. He forgives, heals, redeems, crowns and satisfies.
Psalm 104
In this psalm, the writer points out all of the objects of nature that we so commonly take for granted and shows us again that God is at the heart of everything and deserves all our praise.
Psalm 105:2
Do we talk of God’s wondrous works? Do we tell others about what He has done for us? We need to make sure that we are constantly expressing to others how great our God is.
