Today’s Chapters: Psalms 121-125
Pete’s Thoughts:
Psalm 121
Look at our keeping God in this chapter. God will never fail us. He will not allow us to be moved. We just need to trust in Him for all we need.
Psalm 122:1
Are we glad when we have the opportunity to go to church? Do we rejoice in fellowshipping with other Christians? We should.
Psalm 123
In a world that is constantly looking for the next best thing, we look to the Lord. He never changes, never gets old, never leads us astray. Look to the Lord for all you need.
Psalm 124
After seeing in the previous chapter that we look to God and know that He never fails, we look at this chapter and see what would have happened to us if God was not on our side. All these things would have occurred but the Lord was on our side.
Psalm 125:1
When we trust the Lord we are like a mountain. But the psalmist doesn’t say just any old mountain. He says we are like Mount Zion – the home of God. If God can never be moved, never tires, never ages, never dies, that means His throne room will never need to be moved or changed. When we trust in God, we are like the very throne of God that cannot be moved.
