Today’s Chapters: Psalms 131-135
Pete’s Thoughts:
Psalm 131
James echoes this psalm very well when he tells us that God gives grace to the humble. Some of the best times you will ever experience is when you are just quiet with the Lord.
Psalm 132
Look at all that this chapter God does and will do for David.
Psalm 133
This psalm is a wonderful illustration of unity amongst Christians. It’s like oil that seeps into the deep corners of the beard of the priest, cleansing with it’s sweet fragrance. It’s like the life sustaining dew on the mountains where the livestock dwell.
Psalm 134
We need to come into the sanctuary of God and bless His name. Praise Him for all He has done for us. Glorify Him for who He is and His great name. Lift up our songs and our hands to give Him the honor He deserves.
Psalm 135
Examine all that this psalm declares that God does and is capable of. When we look at all of this, our natural reaction is to bless His name and sing His praises.
