SRC: The Psalms – Day 26

Today’s Chapters: Psalms 126-130

Pete’s Thoughts:

Psalm 126:5

What a great verse!  We know that Christ is always making intercession for us, God the Father sends only good and perfect gifts, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter that Jesus promised to sent, indwells us.  Though we may have sorrow and tears, the end result will always be joy.

Psalm 127:1

If God is not first and foremost in your family, your family will never be as strong as it could be.  When the Lord builds your household, you will never want for closeness and protection.

Psalm 128:2

Nothing tastes better that food that you have worked hard and toiled over.  Vegetables that you have cared for and nurtured always taste better than store-bought veggies.  When we spend time nurturing and tending to our family and teaching them how to fear the Lord, we will be stronger and more like Christ.

Psalm 129

This is a great reminder that though we will face tribulation and persecution, God is still on the throne of the universe and it is He who judges the hearts of men.

Psalm 130

This is a wonderful psalm about the mercy of God.  He provides redemption for us out of His great mercy.  When we really understand God’s mercy, we will never want to leave His presence again, we will wait on the Lord and look to Him for everything.
